More from Armed Forces Day 2012
Some more pictures from the very successful event that took place in Broad Street, Reading on Saturday 30th June as part of the Armed Forces Day celebrations. At the end of the day, a total of £1309.30 was raised in aid of "The ABF - The Soldiers Charity".

Armed Forces Day 2012
On Sunday 24th June, Cadets and Adults from 'B' Company attended the Newbury Armed Forces Day Parade and on Saturday 30th June, Cadets from all corners of Berkshire spent a day of Climbing, Rowing, Cycling and Skiing in Broad Street, Reading as part of the Reading Armed Forces Day events.

More June Events 2012
Awarding and Competing, thats what Adults and Cadets from across the County have been doing during the last couple of weekends in June. First there was the Honorary Colonel's Awards Ceremony, then along came the Berkshire Tri-Service Cadets "Frost Trophy" Competition.

May and June Activities 2012
Fieldcraft, Adventure Training and some budding Olympic Champions. It was all go for Adults and Cadets from A Company in May and June and then for even more Adults and Cadets from across the County at the beginning of June. See if you can spot a certain Sergeant Major limbering up in readiness to take part in the 100 meter dash to the ice cream van!

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition Training 2012
Over the weekend of 4th to 7th May, cadets and adults took part in Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold and Silver Expedition Training. Mind you, our photographer of the day must like bluebells!! To see the photos, just click on this thumbnail.

Burghfield Jubilee Day and Beacon Lighting 2012
Cadets and adults from Burghfield, Thatcham and Bracknell spent a very enjoyable day assisting and enjoying the fun and games at the Burghfield Jubilee Day and Beacon Lighting on Monday 4 June.


Diamond Jubilee Street Party
Saturday 2nd June and cadets from 17 Platoon Whitley pose with Sir John Madejski OBE DL, Chairman of the victorious Reading Royals Football Club at a Jubilee Street Party along Northumberland Avenue, Whitley.


Berkshire ACF Athletics Team 2012
On Sunday 13th May, our budding Olympic runners, throwers and jumpers made their way over to Abingdon for the South East Region Athletics Championships. Unfortunately, due to an administrative error the event was cancelled, however just click on the image below to see a few photos of our Athletics Team 2012.



Target Rifle Competition 2012
Saturday 12th May saw our Target Rifle Shooting Team take second place at this years Target Rifle Competition. Shown here are a few photos of the team recieving their awards, from left to right, Cdt Harry Asquith-Beard 14 Platoon Newbury, Cdt Hal Cave 11 Platoon Arborfield, Cdt LCpl Caitlin Green 8 Platoon Reading and Cdt Cairan Evans 10 Platoon Wokingham. Cdt Evans also achieved Berkshire ACF Top Shot.


Lord Lieutenant's Cadets
Lord Lieutenant's Cadets, Cdt CSM Jack Hobbs ACF and Cdt Flt Sgt Oliver Omar ATC, were in attendance during HM The Queen's Walkabout in Windsor on 30th April 2012.

     


Berkshire ACF Athletics Competition 2012
Sunday 22nd April saw Cadets and Adults from across the County converge at the home of Bracknell Athletics Club to take part in a day packed full of all track and field events. Whilst for the most part, the weather was good but by the end everybody crowded into the small stand where our Commandant, Colonel Peter Webb, presented each cadet with at least one certificate.

3 Platoon Slough
Cadets from 3 Platoon Slough attend the Sikh nagar kirton Sikh Procession for the birth of Khalsa on Sunday 22nd April 2012.

A few photos of our Band Cadets at the recent National Cadet Force Music Camp 2012 held at Altcar and during a training evening at Brock Barracks, Reading.


Easter Basic Training Camp 2012
Over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend Cadets and Adults from across the county attended the Easter Basic Training Camp 2012 at Bramley Weekend Training Centre where the cadets undertook all aspects of the Basic Level APC Syllabus. The weekend culminated in an End of Camp Parade attended by many parents, family and friends. Colonel Peter Webb, Commandant, presented each cadet with an Attendance Certificate along with several APC Basic Level Certificates.

B Company JNCO Cadre 2012
Cadets and Adults from across B Company decended upon Bramley Weekend Training Centre for a JNCO Cadre over the weekend 16th to 18th March 2012.

Norway Winter Training 2012
It was a very happy band of Cadets and Adults that departed from Brock Barracks on Friday 17th March and head off for ten days of Winter Training in Norway. The party, led by Major Owen Williams, were hosted by the Norwegian Home Guard Youth based at Oslo Og Akershus Heimeverns District 02 ? Kongsberg.

Rugby Team Selections 2012
On Sunday 19th February, cadets from across the County descended upon Newbury Rugby Club to enjoy a day honing their rugby playing skills. They were ably put through their paces by Capt Del Tucker, Sgt Maj Jonno Johnson and several other adult instructors, in preparation for the selection of teams for the National ACF Rugby Championships 2012.
